Appletree House is a Bed & Breakfast and Guest House on Swans Island, Maine -- a Down East community on beautiful Blue Hill Bay. We offer accommodations in a relaxed, friendly setting. Weekly and daily packages are available to suit your needs. There are two guestrooms and it is also possible to reserve the entire house.

Relax under the apple trees, take a walk on Joyce's Beach, search for blueberries (seasonal) or enjoy a day of biking or walking around the island. You may catch sight of deer or other wildlife including numerous waterfowl and other birds. At night, experience stargazing at its finest!

Swans Island is a 30-minute ferry ride from Mt. Desert Island, home of Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. If you wish to leave your car on the mainland, we'll pick you up at the ferry or your boat mooring.
